Sarah is an Automatic Writer. She receives a message that details a kidnapping and what she can do to stop it. She has averted kidnappings before. The notes are quite specific. She's convinced it won't be that hard. But things go wrong when the kidnappers spot her. People are killed. Witnesses place Sarah at the scene. The police find her notebook riddled with prophecies of accidents and crimes, and they want answers.
Sarah is in a fight for her life with no one to trust and a kidnapping ring who only want to find out how she knows so much about them. The police are hunting her for very different reasons and her parents think she's at a sleepover.
The Warning (Book Two)
Sarah Roberts has spent the last four years helping people stay alive and escape near death experiences as messages from the dead come to her.
She receives a daunting communication from the Other Side regarding her sister’s murderer and where she can find him. The message isn’t clear enough to confirm the man’s identity, causing Sarah to wonder about the veracity of the messages coming through.
When she receives The Warning, Sarah decides to disregard it.
The tables turn and now Sarah’s being hunted instead of being the hunter.
How many people have to die to catch one murderer? How far will Sarah go?
This book explores the intense violence that she must endure and the absolute horror and reality that has become her life as an Automatic Writer.
The Warning begins as a flame, sparks to a fire and explodes with a violent climax in the life of a girl who talks to the dead in order to help the living.
The Crypt (Book Three)
Sarah Roberts is in search of a weapon on the streets of Budapest.
A strange man in a fedora follows her, but before she can find out who he is, she is arrested. After her release from the Hungarian jail, she is ordered out of the country.
The man in the fedora shows up at her Budapest hotel before she has a chance to leave for the airport. He is from a psychic research organization and she is to come with him back to the States. When she refuses, she is informed that she does not have a choice. She is now property of the United States government.
Sarah then receives a message that it all ends in "The Crypt" in nine days. An apology accompanies the note.
While Sarah remains in Hungary and struggles to locate her target, she has to keep the Hungarian government off her back as well as the fedora-wearing American who has a ten-man team hunting her.
The only way to escape their reach is to fake her own death. Convinced it's her only option, Sarah concocts a plan that will deal with her target and have herself killed in the process.

it's not a great mystery series but it's not bad. i figured out most of the twists before they were revealed. some of the characters do things that don't make sense or are blatantly just to move the story along. kinda like how in romance a very simple misunderstand causes the couple to break up when if he/she simply asked instead of assumed they could get the answer. i liked the psychic aspect. i also liked the fact she had a serious body mutilation problem. i'm sad he just had her magically cured of depression and body mutilation in 4 years. not only is the depression she struggled with most of her life gone but she is a badass full of confidence and she has mad skills. i hope he explains it more in book 2 but i'm halfway done with it and so far no flashback to the missing 4 years where she was magically turned from a depressed, self mutilating, wimpy teenager into a self confident beautiful woman who can kick butt.Product details

Plenty of action! I realize this is fiction but I like the books I read to be somewhat believeable. In Arnold Swarzenagers Commando he goes up against hundreds of men with machine guns to rescue Alisa Milano.Ridiculous!!! James Bond should have been killed in every movie but he miraculously escapes every time. Sarah Roberts is 5 feet tall goning up against well trained men who are twice her size and miraculously escapes death several times in each volume. Pleeeeease!!!!
The author pulled me into the plot early on with the most incrediable female protagenist I have ever (make that never) dreamed of as the heroine. A damaged young woman with an outrageous gift. The plot unfolds through pages of exciting adventure, and for a while, just when you think you grasped the mystery the twists and turns reel you into the wee hours of the morning.
I would awake to continue the read through last night. It left me wanting more, so I went back to and looked up Jonas Saul, then purchased books 1-3 as a set. Only one other author affected me this way, with his plots and tales well spun. My congradulations to you Jonas Saul, you are on my favorites list of authors.
These first three volumes were so good, that I ordered volumes 4 - 15. I highly recommend these. Although there is violence its not overbearing. There are many authors that I have as favorites and I'm happy to say that Jonas Saul has now been added to that list.
Well deserved 5 stars for all three of these books! I have been searching for an author with the ability to pull you into the storyline like you were walking right with the main character and Jonas gets it done. Sarah Roberts evolves into a woman who knows what she needs to do to get the job done with a little help from the other side. Leaves you wondering how is she going to get out of that conundrum and before you know it she's out of the frying pan and into the fire! Can't wait to read series 4-6 and see what is in store for her next. Way to go Sarah!
Bought this by mistake having read the author's name too fast. I thought it read John Saul, an author I love to read. Once I started this I knew it wasn't John Saul's style, but I was intrigued with the story. I've just begun #3 and with what I've read so far, I will go back when finished and pick up the next set in the series. Not John Saul, and no Bentley Little and not close to Dean Koontz. Especially not Stephen King, but definitely worth reading.
A good read & a bargin to purchase both by teenagers & adults. Sarah Roberts has a psychic gift and uses it to help people in danger, even if it means she also places herself in danger. She has no idea who is sending her the warning messages or even why. All she knows is that she must act on them. As the plot develops, Sarah learns more about the why of her messages & is determined to use her gift to help bring down a gang of kidnappers of young girls. As an adult, some of Sarah's adventures require a stretch of imagination, but it is an enjoyable & fun read. Looking forward for more about Sarah & her experiences.
Okay, I'm officially addicted to the Sarah Roberts Series by Jonas Saul! My house has been waiting 4 days to be cleaned, but I have read 5 of the Sarah Roberts books in that time. There is something about Jonas Saul's writing that makes it almost impossible to put his books down once you start reading. And if it weren't enough to be totally addicted to one series, he placed several chapters of another of his series after the end of the last Sarah Roberts book. Now I am addicted to that series also! His characters become friends and enemies inside your head and you want to discover what happened to even those who filled space in only a chapter or two after one series ends, which means you don't even realize yet that you are hooked to yet another series. Jonas Saul is now my favorite author. As long as he keeps the books coming, I will be buying and reading them. Jonas Saul, you are a brilliant author! Thank you, Sir, for many, many hours of entertainment.
